The Place Where We Belong
The Place Where We Belong is a performance about shifting identity and integration, beyond media and politics. A migrant wonders what still connects her to the country she lives in. To save her marriage she decides, together with her husband, to enter into a public conversation and to ask passers-by on the street for advice.
The audience is a witness to this search. From a bird’s eye view they listen in and spy on the migrants meetings outside.
The Place Where We Belong has been performed abroad since ‘05/’06 and has been partially adapted to the specific situation and discussion of each place.
The Place Where We Belong is a co-production by SPACE and the production house [FRASCATI] and is simultaneously Petra Ardais graduation project at DasArts.
